★★★★★ As a 48 year old with ageing skin I find I really struggle with make-up these days. Anything I put on my skin seems to accentuate my wrinkles, powder especially was a complete no. no. I started wearing Maybelline Dream Radiant Liquid Hydrating Foundation with Hyaluronic Acid and Collagen, after tryng many this is actually pretty good on my skin. I was pleased the foundation didn't set in my wrinkles, however I still wasn't happy that I couldn't use anything to set my make-up. I tried NYX photo finish powder. I also tried Maybelline Fit Me Powder. Neither was any good for me, again the powder just accentuates my wrinkles. I happen to watch a you tube video about applying make-up, I usually watch the tutorials for younger people but this time I figured, why am I watching the wrong videos for the wrong age group, with that I chose a video tutorial specifically for older ladies. I am glad I did. Veil powder was mention ('d never heard of it). so I looked it up on Amazon and here I am. I am very impressed, this powder made my skin glow. I'm not going to say it hid my wrinkles but it certainly did not make them worse like other powders. This help set my make- up all day and gave a lovely glow..It also help diminish pores as promised it would. Another review on here mentioned glitter, well yes I did notice speckles of glitter within the powder, however it did not give me a face full of glitter. Once on your skin any glitter is totally unnoticeable... I highly recommend this for the older lady

★★★★★ Bought this in a moment of weakness, having a) just got paid; and b) noticed my menopausal skin was looking dryer than an elephant’s heels. Hoped this would bring back some youthful sheen to my skin and it definitely has. You don’t look sweaty, or shiny - just 2% less haggard.

★☆☆☆☆ This veil is nowhere near as good as the original MF loose powder (which I understand has been discontinued). So far i am managing to get old stocks on Amazon but as they are running low thought I'd try the veil replacement. It's paler, doesn't give as much coverage, doesn't give the same wear to your foundation and has glitter in it!! It's hard to get out/use. But worst of all, you now pay about the same price for 4g of product as you used to pay for 15g!!!!! Please MF. Look after your loyal and longstanding customers and bring back the original loose powder that I've happily bought for years.

★★★★★ As a young chick I always used loose powder but changed to the set stuff as an older bird.On a whim, (and as I was feeling nostalgic), I purchased this “for old times sake.” And I’m very glad I did!!!Excellent coverage which I did not need to top up throughout the day.I used a brush to put it on and promptly got powder all over my outfit! ★★★★★ This Rimmel translucent loose powder is an excellent substitute for the recently discontinued Boots No 7 translucent loose powder. Rimmel’s powder is not drying which I assume is because it does not contain Kaolin (new Boots No 7 one does). Rimmel’s is very light in texture and gives a lovely undetectable soft finish. The colour is almost transparent but not a stark white so it blends softly and perfectly and doesn't stand out or change the colour of foundation. If you're looking for something subtle, non-drying and doesn't settle in pores then this Rimmel translucent loose powder is perfect. For the price alone it’s worth giving it a try.

★★★★★ Wenn man mal nicht aussehen will wie ein Mehlgeist, aber trotzdem noch günstig wegkommen möchte.Empfehle ich auf jeden Fall dieses Puder.Ich verwende es seit über einem Jahr und meine Haut trocknet durch dieses Puder nicht aus wie schon bei manch anderen und es verteilt sich so easy und lässt sich super einarbeiten.Ich möchte es nicht mehr missen.

Die Dose ist unterwegs etwas umständlich zu benutzen, da der Spiegel nicht unter dem Deckel sitzt, aber das nehme ich für diesen tollen Farbton in Kauf, denn andere Puder finde ich immer viel zu rosa und dieser ist eher etwas zart gelblich.

Although the powder is very white (I had concerns about this) it blends in lovely and has a nice matte finish. It's lightweight and doesn't have the "Talc" feeling on your face. I have sensitive skin which is prone to flare ups and have had no trouble at all with this finishing powder. I will definitely be buying this again. ★★★☆☆ I like this powder, however I do agree that it is no transparent, it does lighten the work it is covering.The first time I used it my makeup kind of needed to be dulled down a little so this powder worked well in that case.If I had applied to makeup I was happy with, I would be annoyed by the whitening of the makeup.It does appear to set the makeup well for a powder. I prefer sprays, and wont be retiring the spray for this product anytime soon.I will however continue to use it for looks I need to dull a little.

★★★★★ I've been using this solid power by Maybelline for years now and the present one was almost finished and I thought I ought to buy another one as well as for hygienic reasons. Could I find it? No. I hunted high and low in all the cosmetic as well as supermarket shops - Max Factor, Rimmel, L'Oreal as well as Maybelline of course and no luck, another popular product done with like happens so often, so have been trying to find one which might match. Again, no luck. Decided to try on Amazon as a last resort. There it was, Maybelline, the same colour I've used for years, a good price and with Prime delivery by the evening. It arrived pm and I'm delighted. Never give up hope, always try Amazon. I normally do, but just thought if nowhere else had it Amazon wouldn't either. The product was out of supply. Wrong. ★★★★★ Brilliant product. Exact match for my skintone and does leave a flawless finish! I am well impressed! I have a combination skin with enlarged pores. This powder covers it all including little blemishes and leaves my skin looking fresh and even. Wonderful! The compact flips up to reveal a mirror and applicator sponge underneath (I did wonder why it was quite a thick compact), so this was a nice surprise but would have been better designed with the mirror in the lid to save space. That said, I will buy again. Arrived very quickly!

★★★★★ I just wanted something to prevent my foundation becoming shiny after some hours wear and this has been amazing!!After about 4 hours+ my foundation gets this shine to it. I only wear liquid foundation and really minimal, just more to even out my skin tone. I didn't want something heavy feeling on my face like how compact powders feel so thought I'd try this.I love it! I just dust on a small amount all over and its totally translucent so doesn't affect my foundation colour at all. I'm mixed race so my skin tone is pretty deep tan and this didn't "ghost" me.I use the Il Makiage foundation so not the same brand as this Nyx setting powder but its still worked beautifully.

On one hand, 10 stars for longevity, probably the best powder I've ever had, easily lasts throughout the day and at the end of my 8 hr work day my make up looks like it wqs just applied 5 mon ago. No oily face whatsoever and no reaction at all by my overly sensitive skin.On the other hand however, it has an absolutely disgusting chemical smell that makes me sick and the powder is too fine, what makes it very wasteful, as you can't put it back to the tub without generating a huge cloud around yourself, amd a lot of it goes to waste.Still 4 star for longevity, but I'm not sure for how long will I be able to tolerate its smell

★★★★★ My skin is very oily, my foundation only usually lasts several hours before the oils battle through.Applying this powder over my foundation gives incredible hold, it’s my new favourite makeup product! I hardly get any shine coming though by the end of the day.
